For Young Women Who Create program. This program will create a model to enable young women, 16-24 years of age, to explore the digital film industry via a 3 week class the summer of 2016. This is expected to enhance career choices, skills and community connections.
Jefferson Economic Development Institute
YEAR GRANTED: 2015
GRANT AMOUNT: $10,000
For its Empowering Women in Business program. This funding will make possible an It’s Your Business class and two marketplace workshops in Redding. It will also include individual counseling for women who participate in the classes and workshop.
Terra Fuego
YEAR GRANTED: 2015
GRANT AMOUNT: $12,000
For provision of non-traditional career firefighting training for women at their Anderson training grounds. This is a pilot project for Terra Fuego and includes a job search component for women who complete the training.
