2018 – 2019 Grant Recipients

On October 17, 2018 the Women’s Fund awarded grants to three local nonprofits totaling $45,000 from funds collected from membership donations made during 2017.  The focus area for this year’s grant funding was Developing Economic Opportunities which was chosen as usual by members of The Women’s Fund’s during the semi-annual May voting cycle. Developing Economic Opportunities supports women who have a vision and need help taking steps to reach that goal, creating economic opportunities for women and/or developing skills to increase financial solvency.

In addition to these grants, this year The Women’s Fund launched a new initiative called the “Members’ Choice Bonus Award” where members get to directly participate and vote on an additional funding to help one of the previous year’s grantees to continue their service to our community. This year’s Member’s Choice Bonus Award, a $3,000 grant voted on by the membership was presented to Children First Foster Family Agency, making The Woman’s Fund total grant of $48,000 in 2018.
